We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Speech & Language Therapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in Berkshire. They are seeking a qualified Speech Therapist with previous Community experience.
Job Description
•Enhanced DBS
•Car driver essential
•Word/Outlook knowledge desirable
•RIO knowledge desirable
•HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
•Needs to have experience of working in Paediatrics
•Speech, language and communication needs.
•Knowledge of supporting children with special educational needs and additional needs essential, including children who are verbal and non-verbal.
•Previous experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team and carrying out joint visits/assessment with other AHP’s essential.
•Experience of carrying out standardised and non-standardised assessments for this client group.
•Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) desirable
•Ability to write clear and concise reports for the EHCP process to tight 6 week deadlines
•Experience of working in mainstream and special schools to carry out assessment of
•Ability to write SMART goals and provide advice and recommendations based on the needs of the child and their family/carers.
Position Requirements
•HCPC Registered
•Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
•Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within a Speech Therapy setting
