Locum Cardiac Physiologist – Pacing & Devices Specialist

Contract Type: Locum (Full-time or Part-time)
Duration: 3 months initially, possibly ongoing

Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience (Band 6/7)
Hours: 37.5 (full time hours)
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist with expertise in Pacing and Devices to join our friendly and dynamic Cardiology team on a locum basis. Key Responsibilities:
Independently perform and report on complex device follow-ups (pacemakers, ICDs, CRTs)
Assist with implantation, checks, and reprogramming of cardiac devices
Conduct remote monitoring and in-clinic reviews using systems such as Merlin, CareLink, Latitude, or Home Monitoring
Provide technical support during implant procedures in the cath lab
Collaborate closely with consultants, nurses, and other members of the MDT
Maintain accurate documentation in line with departmental protocols
Requirements:
BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent
RCCP/AHCS/HCPC registration (or working toward)
IBHRE/EHRA accreditation desirable but not essential
Proven experience in pacing and device follow-ups (minimum 2 years preferred)
Able to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
