We are looking for an experienced Sonographer to join our dynamic team on a weekend-only basis. This role will involve performing a wide range of scans in General, Gynaecology, and Obstetrics. Key Responsibilities:
Perform General, Gynaecological, and Obstetric ultrasound scans for both routine and emergency cases.
General Ultrasound: Abdominal, renal, and soft tissue imaging.
Gynaecology: Pelvic scans, follicle tracking, and assessments related to fertility and other gynaecological conditions.
Obstetrics: Early pregnancy, anomaly scans, and growth scans.
Ensure high-quality imaging to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Work with patients, explaining procedures, making them feel comfortable, and offering compassionate care.
Provide clear and concise reports, working closely with clinicians to ensure appropriate next steps in care.
Follow departmental protocols, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Offer a professional, patient-centered approach, delivering excellent care in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Requirements:
HCPC Registered Sonographer (or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in General, Gynae, and Obstetric Ultrasound.
Competence in performing a range of obstetric and gynaecological scans.
Ability to produce high-quality images and contribute to diagnosis.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures to patients and work effectively within a team.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage patient flow efficiently during weekend hours.
A compassionate, patient-first attitude in all interactions.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with 3D/4D ultrasound.
Familiarity with advanced obstetric ultrasound techniques.
Experience working in private or hospital settings with a diverse caseload.
Knowledge of safeguarding protocols and patient confidentiality standards.
