About the Role
IMC Locums is seeking an experienced Band 7 Sonographer to join a friendly and supportive NHS ultrasound team based in North Wales. This is a full-time locum position with the possibility of weekend shifts depending on service demand.
You will be working as an autonomous practitioner, delivering high-quality imaging and independently reporting across a range of examinations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and independently report obstetric, gynaecological, and general medical ultrasound scans
Maintain a high standard of clinical practice following NHS and departmental protocols
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Provide compassionate, patient-centred care
Support smooth service delivery, including potential weekend coverage
Requirements
HCPC Registered Sonographer
CASE-accredited ultrasound training
Competent in scanning and reporting general ultrasound, obstetrics, and gynaecology
Ability to work autonomously with strong clinical decision-making skills
Previous NHS experience desirable
