About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiographer with a proven background in Cardiac Angiography to join our dynamic imaging team in Essex. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated locum radiographer who is keen to step into a full-time permanent position in a busy, well-resourced hospital environment.
You will work alongside highly skilled cardiologists, nurses, and fellow radiographers, providing a high standard of care for patients undergoing a range of interventional and diagnostic cardiac procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and assist with cardiac angiography and related interventional procedures to a high clinical standard.
Operate advanced imaging equipment in line with departmental protocols and radiation safety regulations.
Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient pathways.
Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to service audits and quality improvement.
Support training and mentorship for junior staff or students as required.
Essential Requirements
HCPC Registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
Substantial experience in interventional radiography, with specific expertise in cardiac angiography.
Up-to-date knowledge of IR(ME)R and other relevant legislation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
Previous NHS experience in a similar role.
IV cannulation and contrast administration certification.
Willingness to participate in on-call rota.
