Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders and will be proficient in performing electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, and device implantation such as pacemakers and defibrillators (ICDs). This role involves both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, including procedural and consultative services.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Perform diagnostic electrophysiological procedures including:
Electrophysiology studies (EPS)
Radiofrequency and cryoablation
Tilt table testing
Implant and manage cardiac rhythm devices:
Pacemakers, ICDs, CRTs
Lead extractions (if applicable)
Interpret ECGs, Holter monitors, event recorders, and implantable device diagnostics.
Provide consultative services and collaborate with general cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and other specialists.
Educate patients and families about treatment options, procedures, and long-term management.
Participate in hospital call rotations as required.
Contribute to quality improvement and clinical research initiatives.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree with board certification in Cardiology.
Fellowship-trained and board-certified (or board-eligible) in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
Current medical license (or eligible) in [State].
Strong clinical and procedural skills.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with complex ablation (e.g., atrial fibrillation, VT ablation).
Proficiency in device extraction techniques.
Academic or research interest in electrophysiology.
