Position: Locum Echocardiographer
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Duration: 3–6 months (Full‑time)
Pay Rate: £55–£60 per hour

Role Overview
IMC Locums is looking for an experienced echocardiographer to join a dynamic cardiology team in Newcastle. The role encompasses:
Performing and interpreting a range of echocardiographic studies including transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TOE), and stress echocardiography.
Producing accurate, timely clinical diagnostic reports.
Collaborating with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient‑centered care.
Ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines, protocols, and safety standards.
Supervising or mentoring junior staff/trainees if required.
Essential Criteria
British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) accreditation (or equivalent).
Significant experience in echocardiography, including advanced imaging modalities.
Proficiency with leading echocardiography equipment and software (Philips, GE, Siemens, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
