Locum Echocardiographer – Leicester

Hours: Full-time or Part-time considered
Pay Rate: £50–£55 per hour (dependent on experience and payment method)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Locum Echocardiographer to join a busy NHS Trust in Leicester. We are looking for a qualified and motivated professional to deliver high-quality echocardiography services within a well-established cardiology department.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
Work to BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) standards
Use of Philips or GE echocardiography machines (training available if needed)
Support junior staff and work collaboratively within the cardiac team
Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to quality assurance processes
Requirements:
BSE accreditation or equivalent (or working toward)
Proven experience in adult echocardiography
Competent in independent echo scanning and reporting
Right to work in the UK
DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable:
NHS experience
Familiarity with Tricefy or similar digital echo reporting systems
