We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum CT/MRI Radiographer to join our team in Norfolk!

Our imaging department is looking for a dedicated and professional CT/MRI Radiographer to work on a locum basis in Norfolk. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified radiographer to work in a well-established hospital setting with modern imaging equipment and a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT and MRI scans across a range of examinations, including routine, emergency, and specialist scans.

  • Ensure high-quality imaging is consistently produced while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

  • Work with radiologists to assess and interpret scans, ensuring diagnostic accuracy.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of contrast-enhanced CT and MRI scans.

  • Ensure all patient records are maintained in accordance with departmental and legal requirements.

  • Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Provide professional care and guidance to patients, ensuring they understand procedures and feel comfortable.

  • Work efficiently within a busy team, contributing to the overall smooth running of the imaging department.

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC Registered Radiographer (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in both CT and MRI scanning (minimum of 1-2 years).

  • Strong understanding of CT and MRI protocols, equipment, and patient care procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Familiarity with radiation safety and maintaining optimal image quality while minimizing patient exposure.

  • A professional, compassionate approach to patient care.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with advanced MRI techniques, such as cardiac MRI, musculoskeletal MRI, or contrast-enhanced MRI.

  • Experience in CT angiography, CT colonography, or interventional radiology is a plus.

  • Familiarity with various imaging equipment brands (e.g., Siemens & GE).

  • Postgraduate qualifications in CT and/or MRI radiography are desirable.
