IMC locums are Consultant Clinical Scientist – Reproductive Science and Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) Person Responsible for a fixed term contract.
An opportunity has arisen for an HCPC registered scientist to join the fertility Service at London trust, as Consultant Embryologist; The post is 8C/8D depending on experience.
They are a small friendly and dedicated team of multi-disciplinary professionals committed to providing the highest quality of patient care, looking to recruit a highly experienced, ambitious HCPC registered clinical scientist in reproductive science with an analytical mind, skilled at critical evaluation, with recognised practical clinical skills and data analysis. The post holder will work as part of the Fertility Senior Leadership Team and will play a vital role in service planning and strategic development of the service. The ability to lead, develop and manage staff is a key component of this role.
As the Consultant Embryologist, the post is the lead clinical scientist in reproductive science for the Division and is responsible and accountable for the management of the therapeutic, diagnostic and scientific services provided including the regional Andrology service and management of a scientific team providing direct clinical care.
They offer a full range of infertility treatments and diagnostics; The laboratory performs nearly 900 fresh IVF/ICSI treatments and around 600 FER cycles annually. The trust has got contract with 9 CCGs in the North East London Area and North Central London.
The diagnostic andrology laboratory provides a semen analysis service that includes post vasectomy samples as well, for most of the GP surgeries in East London. The embryology laboratory provides all the routine IVF services including Time Lapse incubation
They are looking for a natural leader and performance manager – with experience of leading scientific laboratories. You should be a clear and confident communicator enabling you to deal with patients directly and liaise with colleagues at all levels, and in all guises of scientific communication.
You should be dynamic and experienced in educating, knowledge sharing. You will take a leading role in designing the scientific services for the fertility lab.
You’ll maintain practical skills with a sessional clinical role in the laboratory while supporting the embryology and andrology team, with vision-setting, troubleshooting, project coordination and continued development of our first class laboratory practice.
The position is full-time with a weekend/out of hour’s roster.
