About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrophysiology (EP) Physiologist to join our growing Cardiac Physiology team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality invasive and non-invasive cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic services within our state-of-the-art EP Laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist clinical support during complex electrophysiology studies, arrhythmia ablations, and device implant procedures (including ICDs, CRTs, and pacemakers).
  • Perform advanced cardiac rhythm evaluations and mapping using modern EP systems (e.g., CARTO, EnSite, Rhythmia).
  • Conduct pre- and post-procedure assessments, including device checks and follow-up clinics.
  • Interpret ECGs, Holter monitoring, event recordings, and other rhythm diagnostics.
  • Ensure all procedures comply with clinical governance, safety protocols, and professional standards.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to continuous service improvement.
  • Support junior staff and contribute to training and professional development within the department.

About You

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent relevant qualification).
  • Accredited Clinical Physiologist
  • Proven experience working in an EP Lab and supporting complex cardiac procedures.
  • Strong understanding of cardiac electrophysiology diagnostics and therapeutics.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with 3D mapping systems.
  • Competence in device follow-up and remote monitoring.
  • IBHRE / BHRS accreditation or progress toward certification.
