🫀 Locum Cath Lab Cardiac Physiologist – London

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cath Lab Cardiac Physiologist to join a dynamic cardiology team in London. This is an excellent locum opportunity in a busy NHS trust (or private hospital), offering flexible hours, competitive rates, and hands-on involvement in a variety of interventional cardiac procedures.

Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time locum work, this role provides excellent professional exposure in a modern cardiac catheterisation laboratory.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist cardiac physiology support during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including:

    • Coronary angiograms and angioplasty (PCI)

    • Permanent pacemaker and ICD/CRT implantations

    • Electrophysiology (EP) studies and ablations (if applicable)

    • Pressure wire, IVUS, FFR, OCT (experience preferred)

  • Operate haemodynamic monitoring systems and support scrub and nursing staff.

  • Perform and document accurate physiological measurements.

  • Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

  • Maintain equipment, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and support audit processes.


Requirements:

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent.

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience working in a UK-based Cath Lab.

  • RCCP or AHCS registration (or working towards).

  • Confident in using modern Cath Lab systems (Philips, Siemens, GE, etc.).

  • Strong team-working, clinical, and communication skills.


Desirable:

  • IBHRE or BHRS accreditation.

  • Experience with EP procedures and advanced device implants.

  • NHS or private hospital experience in the UK preferred.
