Are you a skilled and compassionate sonographer with a passion for Obstetrics?
We are currently looking for an experienced Agency Sonographer to join a well-established medical team in Surrey. The role will focus on Obstetric Ultrasound and offers the flexibility of full-time hours within a dynamic, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine obstetric ultrasound scans, including early pregnancy, anomaly scans, and growth scans.
Assess and provide high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Ensure patient comfort and provide professional, compassionate care throughout the imaging process.
Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure the smooth delivery of services.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, following departmental protocols and procedures.
Provide clear communication with patients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout their scan.
Be flexible in managing different types of appointments and patient needs.
Essential Requirements:
HCPC registered Sonographer (or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Obstetric Ultrasound.
Proficiency in performing a range of obstetric scans (e.g., dating, anomaly, growth).
Ability to provide clear reports and communicate effectively with both patients and colleagues.
Strong knowledge of current ultrasound technology, protocols, and imaging techniques.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A professional, empathetic approach to patient care.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with 3D/4D ultrasound scanning is advantageous.
Prior experience working within a hospital-based obstetric ultrasound setting.
Strong understanding of safeguarding protocols and patient confidentiality.
