Position Available: Senior Biomedical Scientist

Are you a dedicated and motivated HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with prior experience in a Senior BMS role? We want you to join our team! About Us: Our client specializes in providing remote cellular pathology reporting services to NHS Hospitals. As we venture into the digital realm, exciting opportunities await!

Role Overview:

As a Senior/Qaulity Biomedical Scientist, you’ll play a pivotal role in implementing our digital solutions strategy Your responsibilities will include:
·Collaborating with key partners to implement digital strategy.
·Developing and maintaining the scanning service, overseeing training, and ensuring the quality of scanned reports.
·Establishing policy and procedural documents to meet accreditation standards.
·Supporting the implementation and monitoring of the effectiveness of the new Laboratory in Cambridgeshire
·Contributing to the organization’s training program to foster staff development.
·Drafting documents and reports for the Management Team, providing progress updates.

Key Responsibilities:

·Lead the implementation and development of the digital scanning service in collaboration with suppliers.
·Ensure compliance with departmental operating procedures related to quality.
·Assess, monitor, and maintain the competency of junior staff.
·Populate the Quality Management System with necessary documentation.
·Conduct audits and analyze results to improve the quality program.
·Develop and maintain a quality system adhering to ISO 15189:2022.
·Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and assurance.
·Attend and actively participate in departmental and quality meetings.
·Manage incident and complaint reporting.
·Monitor competency records for routine laboratory operations.
·Adhere to safety policies and ensure visitor safety.

Qualifications:
·Postgraduate level qualification equivalent to MSc in Cell Path.
·Current HCPC registration.

Work Experience:
·Minimum 6 years postgraduate experience in a diagnostic Cell Path laboratory.
