Salary: Subject to experience £25,000 – £40,000
Hours: 9-5

Job Summary: We are recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our Client’s growing team of professionals. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing life science cold storage equipment and other laboratory equipment for sites in the South East/London M25 and surrounding areas.
Key Tasks:
·Provide first-line technical support to external or internal customers by giving advice via telephone and/or by visiting the equipment on-site.
·Repair, PPM service, and installation of refrigeration and related monitoring systems.
·Perform IQ/OQ/PQ, temperature mapping, and calibrations.
·Carry out testing to ensure accurate fault diagnosis.
·Remove equipment to the workshop as appropriate, where detailed diagnostics and investigation can be more readily achieved, dismantling equipment when necessary and replacing faulty parts.
·Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, delivering high standards of customer service.
·Sell service products and generate product leads for the sales team.
·Complete the required number of service calls per day as directed by the service manager.
·Ensure satisfactory levels of parts stock at all times.
·Coordinate with the Customer Care Team to ensure effective planning, organization, and delivery of service call schedules.
·Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required paperwork and reports using simPro service software.
·Adhere to health and safety practices and procedures.
·Provide recommendations to the service manager on changes for cost savings and performance improvements.
Key Skills:
·FGAS certified 2079/City and Guilds Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
·High-level technical knowledge of refrigeration and safe working practices.
·Technical and problem-solving skills with a thorough understanding of the relevant technology, staying up to date with relevant qualifications needed to carry out the work.
·Strong organization skills.
·Strong communication (verbal and written) and ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
·Ability to build relationships with customers with the tact and diplomacy required to deal with customers in stressful situations and provide confident assurance.
·Self-confidence and ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
·Knowledge of GLP, GMP, and other practices and legislation relevant to the product area (e.g., MHRA, HTA guidelines).
·Computer literate with the ability to collect and report data effectively.
·Good practical skills, resourceful with a common-sense approach.
·Willingness to work long or unsociable hours when required.
