We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Physiotherapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in North Essex. They are seeking a qualified Physiotherapist with an all round’ experience.
Job Description
Patients, relatives and carers Consultants, specialist nurses Multi-disciplinary team Outreach Respiratory Team Community Rehabilitation Services Intermediate Care Social Care and Voluntary Agencies Principal Objectives: To provide a high standard physiotherapy service in a specialist area as part of a 12 months rotation (Care of Elderly, Medical, IRAS, ITU/Surgical, Neuro-rehab, Stroke, Orthopaedics).
To provide evidence based physiotherapy service that adheres to CSP and CQC clinical and quality standards.
To ensure as far as is reasonably practical the safety of the patients in your care.
To supervise and assist in the development of junior physiotherapists, unqualified staff and students on placement.
To undertake audit of both clinical practice and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
To undertake weekend working as part of a seven day service and work extended hours as needed. Key Responsibilities: This includes rapid assessment, facilitating discharge, specialist rehabilitation, falls prevention and specialist inpatient services in respiratory care. To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, and deliver an individualised treatment programme from a range of options.
To be responsible for own caseload, and for a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision. Supervision involves regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review and one to one assessments. Access to advice and support from a senior physiotherapist is available if required, but clinical work is not routinely evaluated.
Position Requirements
•HCPC Registered
•Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
•Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within a Physiotherapy setting
