We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Speech and Language Therapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in London. They are seeking a qualified SALT with previous head and neck and oncology experience.
Job Description
•3 month (minimum) locum assignment to start as soon as possible
•The successful candidate will be working within a strong team.
•37.5 hours a week full-time cover
•We are looking for an enthusiastic band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join our team looking after adults with Head & Neck cancers as well as patients requiring AICU level care in a private hospital.
•The working pattern is between Monday to Friday with no weekend or on-call working required. We would be happy to consider both part time and full time candidates for this ongoing post.
Position Requirements
•HCPC Registered
•Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience depending on band level.
•Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within an acute setting
•You will provide highly specialist and evidence-based assessments and intervention pre- and post H&N surgeries and to oncology patients throughout their treatments in both outpatient and inpatient setting including AICU.
•This role also includes an opportunity to provide assessments and interventions to other patient groups requiring SLT input. You will work collaboratively with a close working MDT including Consultants, H&N CNS, dietetics, OTs and Physios
