Locum Band 6 Occupational Therapist – London

We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Occupational Therapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in South West London. They are seeking a qualified OT with previous Community experience.
Job Description
•3 month (minimum) locum assignment to start as soon as possible
•Full time hours (Monday – Friday) – part -time will also be considered
•The successful candidate will be working within a strong team.
•As one of 7 National Accelerator Sites you will be working in a team at the forefront of implementing the NHS Long-term plan for Urgent Community Response.
Position Requirements
•HCPC Registered
•Minimum of 6 month postgraduate experience
•Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within a community setting
•Shifts include weekend working of between 1-2 weekends per month, depending on the service needs. 13 shifts worked over a 4 weeks rota (8.00 – 20.00).
•Strong higher level assessment skills to support in the Multidisciplinary management of clients that are acutely unwell or had rapid functional decline, with view of preventing a hospital admission and facilitate hospital discharges. Previous experience in A&E, community, acute medical, care of the elderly, manual handling preferred, but not essential
