Job Description
To use technique of venepuncture and special procedures for particular tests
Supervising trainee phlebotomists
To ensure the reagents are prepared, stored and used in the manner suitable for patient investigation.
Receiving, checking and allocating laboratory accession numbers for specimens brought to the Pathology reception.
label all samples in line with the laboratory Standard Operating Procedures
Be responsible for disposing sharps and clinical waste according to Trust policies
Position Requirements
Must have phlebotomy certification
Customer service skills
professional manner
Band 2/3
Minimum 6 months experience
