Job Description
- To use technique of venepuncture and special procedures for particular tests
- Supervising trainee phlebotomists
- To ensure the reagents are prepared, stored and used in the manner suitable for patient investigation.
- Receiving, checking and allocating laboratory accession numbers for specimens brought to the Pathology reception.
- label all samples in line with the laboratory Standard Operating Procedures
- Be responsible for disposing sharps and clinical waste according to Trust policies
Position Requirements
- Must have phlebotomy certification
- Customer service skills
- professional manner
- Band 2/3
- Minimum 6 months experience
