Locum Band 6 Community Speech and Language Therapist – Birmingham

We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Speech and Language Therapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in Birmingham. They are seeking a qualified Therapist with previous Adult Dysphagia experience.
Job Description
A Degree level qualification relevant to the SLT profession · HCPC Licence to practice · Full Membership of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. · Evidence of recent relevant CPD activities in specialist area, e.g. ASD , dysphagia, fluency, SLI · qualified therapist of managing a mixed and complex caseload across a number of settings including Early years settings and clients’ homes · Speech and Language Therapy intervention to children and families in community settings, such as Clinics, Child Development Centres, education settings and client’s homes, working as part of multi-disciplinary teams to support the holistic assessment, diagnosis and intervention of children and young people according to agreed SLT packages of care and pathways. Must have highly developed negotiation and interpersonal skills when working with professionals, children and young people within a community environment
Position Requirements
- HCPC Registered
- Highly competitive rates of pay
- 3 month (minimum) locum assignment to start as soon as possible
- Full time hours (Monday – Friday)
- Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within a Community setting
