We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Physiotherapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in Birmingham. They are seeking a qualified Physiotherapist with previous Respiratory experience.
Job Description
Respiratory Assessment Carer Training in Suctioning, Nebulisers, cough assist use Care planning. Manual Techniques
.will work independently to carry out home/community visits
. to assess service users and devise personal respiratory physiotherapy plans for Nurses and Healthcare Assistants to follow
. a source of clinical expertise/advice and guidance for Nurses and Carers and will provide training and competency assessments
.No direct budgetary responsibilities
.To plan, develop, co-ordinate and manage specialist respiratory physiotherapy provision for a caseload
. Respiratory problems usually secondary to the primary condition
. The children may require secretion management, Tracheostomy Care, have feeding difficulties or be enterally fed, and be at risk of aspiration.
. To deliver appropriate respiratory therapy training
. to assess, treat and manage children and young people presenting with complex respiratory needs managed in the Children’s Complex Care team.
. To formulate individualised, innovative management and treatment plans
Position Requirements
- HCPC Registered
- Highly competitive rates of pay
- 3 month (minimum) locum assignment to start as soon as possible
- Full time hours (Monday – Friday)
- Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within a Respiratory setting
