We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Speech & Language Therapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in Manchester. They are seeking a qualified Speech Therapist with previous Acute experience.
Job Description
- Qualified speech & language therapist
- Experience working with adult acquired disorders in an acute stroke service or acute medical inpatients
- Dysphagia competent essential
- Experience working with dysphagia in the acute setting
- Experience working with patients with communication difficulties
- Knowledge of national stroke guidance and targets
- Experience supporting less experienced staff
Position Requirements
- HCPC Registered
- 3 month (minimum) locum assignment to start as soon as possible
- Full time hours (Monday – Friday)
- The successful candidate will be working within a strong team.
- Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within an Acute setting
