We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Speech & Language Therapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in Birmingham. They are seeking a qualified therapist with previous Neuro experience.
Job Description
To provide a specialist SLT therapy service to patients diagnosed with a neurological condition in a range of community settings using highly developed specialist practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge/neuro qualifications. To be a specialist resource of information for health and social care staff, patients, families, carers and external agencies who may require advice, support and guidance in the management of these patients. To transfer individual patients’ on-going care to other agencies as appropriate and ensure that the service provided is conducted in a professional, efficient and effective way. To meet the service specification objectives as part of a team providing high quality neuro services
Position Requirements
- HCPC Registered
- 3 month (minimum) locum assignment to start as soon as possible
- Full time hours (Monday – Friday)
- The successful candidate will be working within a strong team.
- Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within an Inpatient Neuro setting
