We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Dietitian to join a leading teaching hospital, based in Oxfordshire. They are seeking a qualified Dietitian with previous NHS experience.

Job Description

  • The post holder will be responsible for providing a dietetic service to patients with an Oncology diagnosis or requiring Upper Gastrointestinal surgery treated at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford.  This will involve working on the inpatient ward, where patients with a range of diagnoses are admitted throughout their cancer journey for inpatient treatment or for treatment/disease-related side effects. It will also involve providing outpatient consultations (via telephone) to these patients, therefore some remote working could be agreed.
  • Responsibilities of the post holder:
  • To contribute to the oncology dietetic service, working alongside a team of experienced oncology dietitians.
  • Responsibility for the dietetic care of Oncology and Upper GI patients treated at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford
  • Working as a member of large multi-disciplinary teams
  • Good caseload and time management, including prioritisation.
  • Nutritional knowledge and experience in Oncology is highly desirable, but not essential
  • Knowledge and experience in nutrition support (including oral and enteral feeding) is essential.

 

Position Requirements

  • HCPC Registered
  • 3 month (minimum) locum assignment to start as soon as possible
  • Full time hours (Monday – Friday)
  • The successful candidate will be working within a strong team.
  • Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
  • Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within a NHS setting
