Locum Band 5 or 6 Mental Health Occupational Therapist – West Sussex

We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Occupational Therapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in West Sussex. They are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist with previous Mental Health Inpatient experience.
Job Description
You will support the Occupational Therapy team on a low, secure Mental Health forensic inpatient Ward. If you are an experienced Band 5 or a Band 6 OT, we would love to hear from you. The centre has 49 beds across 3 wards. 2 wards for men and 1 ward for women. The assignment is for one of the Men’s ward, but would also have contact with the women in cross-ward groups.
There are 2 Band 5 OT’s and a Band 6 OT. We are looking to cover for a vacancy due to a secondment until the end of June 2023.There is also a technician on each ward. The OT team is line managed by the Matron. The centre has a friendly and supportive atmosphere and OT in an integral part of the team. Due to the long term, nature of forensic rehabilitation, the average length of stay is approx. 2 years.
Position Requirements
- HCPC Registered
- Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within a Mental Health setting
- 3 month (minimum) locum assignment to start as soon as possible
- Full time hours (Monday – Friday)
- The successful candidate will be working within a strong team.
