Locum Band 6 Community Physiotherapist – Bedfordshire

We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Physiotherapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in Bedfordshire. They are seeking a qualified Physiotherapist with previous Community experience. A car is essential for this role and business mileage will be paid.
Job Description
You will support the Community Physiotherapy Team, which is a maximum of a 6 week service in South Bedfordshire. All our referrals are for clients that are aligned to South Bedfordshire GP’s within Bedfordshire. You will visit clients in their home, residential/nursing homes or within the rehabilitation bedded units. Having completed a full holistic assessment of the clients needs you will complete the following:
– Advice of the next steps, which will include:
– Assessing and progressing the clients rehabilitation potential physically, inclusive of P/ADL.
– Ordering and assessing for and with the appropriate equipment that will support the client or carers
– Seek advice from senior staff and appropriate services as required.
– Complete the appropriate onward referrals to other relevant services.
– Review as appropriate.
Position Requirements
- HCPC Registered
- Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within a Community setting
- 3 month (minimum) locum assignment to start as soon as possible
- Full time hours (Monday – Friday)
- The successful candidate will be working within a strong team.
