IMC Locums are looking for Band 8a Mental Health Hub Team Manager for a long-term locum role in West London.
Job Description
To provide a unified and integrated management structure for staff in the Community Mental Health Hub aligned to a Primary Care Network in the West London CCG. To ensure that the team work to an agreed operational policy offering a high standard and an integrated triage and assessment service to people presenting with mental health problems.
To ensure that responsibilities under the Care Act and other relevant legislation are delivered on to a high quality and standard.
To develop positive relationships with those GP practices served by their team ensuring that services to those practices are provided to the highest possible standard To develop a model of providing advice and support to those GP practices in relation to patients with mental health difficulties and of triaging and assessing referrals from the practices and other referral sources.
To develop a model of working with service users with complex needs, ensuring that services are provided to the highest possible standard and that there is a constant team focus on preparing service users, using the Zoning model, for eventual discharge The post holder will be expected to have well developed clinical skills of their own in order enable them to appropriately guide and supervise staff at all levels and, where appropriate undertake clinical work of their own.
This is a full time role starting ASAP. Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
You can expect rates of up to £40 per hour for this role.
Position Requirements
- Previous managerial experience
- NMC registration
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role in the NHS.
