We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Dietitian to join a leading teaching hospital, based in Suffolk. They are seeking a qualified Dietitian, Covering Surgical Wards.
Job Description
- Specialist clinical Dietitian for surgical wards and acute respiratory care unit providing a source of expertise to patients, carers, medical practitioners and allied health professionals and social care professionals as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- To provide cover for Nutrition Support team Dietitian in periods of absence taking responsibility for management of patients requiring parenteral nutrition.
- To provide specialist input into the planning development and evaluation of dietetic services within surgery and acute services holding responsibility for defined projects.
- To provide nutritional support, education and advice to patients on the surgical wards and general wards as required
- Provide education and training for professional colleagues in all aspects of nutrition in acute care setting across East Suffolk, health and social care agencies.
To supervise and support Band 4 Assistant Practitioner in acute team
Position Requirements
- HCPC Registered
- Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within a Acute/Respiratory setting
