We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Speech Therapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in North Essex. They are seeking a qualified Therapist with previous Dementia experience.
Job Description
This is a specialist role, with a focus on dysphagia management, to work within our well established DIST (Dementia Intensive Support Team), with a focus on admission avoidance; discharge planning, community and in-patient assessment and management, to individuals under the care of or referred to the service. The role will also work with the team to provide ad hoc training and support to carers in their roles in all environments. The post holder will work effectively and efficiently as an autonomous speech and language practitioner within a multi-professional team environment in community, primary care and acute settings, ensuring safe, efficient and effective delivery of patient focussed care in line with identified evidence based practice, local and national standards.
Position Requirements
- HCPC Registered
- Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within Dementia
