We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Audiology Manager to work for a private company based in Devon. To provide specified Adult Audiology investigations to Company clients and patients in line with the Company’s quality procedures and Good Clinical Practice. Job Description

The role requires good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the post holder being above average in computer competency and having knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel. There is a need for a high standard of literacy and numeracy within the work and the post holder must be appropriately qualified and be registered with BAAT/BSC or equivalent registered and be BAA/HCPC or RCCP registered. Due to the nature of the work, and in the interests of patient care, there is a need for absolute accuracy at all times as well as adherence to the Company’s rigorous quality procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and. In turn this requires the post holder to be committed, conscientious and motivated and able to work effectively as a member of a team in a pressured environment.

Position Requirements

  1. Working to the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures at all times as contained in the SOP file
  2. Management and training of audiology department staff
  3. Patient management and preparation for procedures
  4. Performance of Pure Tone Audiometry.
  5. Performance of Bone Conduction Audiometry.
  6. Performance of Tympanometry and Acoustic Reflex.
  7. Undertaking ear mould impressions.
  8. Undertaking hearing aid and mould fittings.
  9. Ensuring a high standard of patient/client care including the cleanliness and stocking of clinical areas
  10. Use of the Compucare system
  11. Creation of procedural algorithms and draft procedural guidelines
  12. General administrative procedures as necessary
  13. Maintain and update professional knowledge including new procedures and techniques
  14. Log into Auditbase as an administrator for maintenance and housekeeping ( Therefore a strong working knowledge of Auditbase / Auricle and Auditbase administration would be a strong advantage)
  15. Audiology stock ordering ensuring correct levels are maintained and stock inventory correct.
  16. Development of the Audiology Services with an aim to increase the amount of patients seen/services provided.
  17. Responsibilities associated with being the Company Safeguard Lead.
  18. Any other duties commensurate to the level of the post.
