We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Physiotherapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in Northampton. They are seeking a qualified Physiotherapist with previous MSK experience.
Job Description
Specialist Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist who assesses and treats a wide range of patients with MSK conditions, inclusive of orthopaedic, spinal, self-referral, rheumatological, elderly rehabilitation and some paediatric patients. Will need to be able to do virtual and face to face assessments of complex patients. Will need to be able to competently assess and treat patients and screen for serious pathology and have awareness of when to refer on or escalate to senior colleagues. Needs to have had experience within MSK Physiotherapy, ideally at a senior level (Specialist B6) and NHS experience preferable. May consider experienced B5 Physiotherapist if had significant experience within MSK (12 months+). Needs to be HCPC registered and have evidence of continuing professional development. Needs to be able work independently without direct supervision and be confident to liaise with GP’s and consultants where needed. Must have Smartcard and SystmOne knowledge. Knowledge of MS Teams. Own transport required to travel within Northamptonshire.
Position Requirements
- HCPC Registered
- Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within MSK
