IMC Locums is working closely with a reputable mental health NHS trust who are seeking a Band 6 Crisis Nurse in Kent.
Job Description
Crisis Assessment Triage is a 24/7 emergency assessment service. The service is commissioned to provide mental health assessments within 4 hours of an accepted referral. Referrals are received from A&E, Urgent Treatment Centres, community teams and GPS. The service is agile, meaning there is no fixed base. Clinicians remain at home until assessments are allocated. Duties include, shifts coordination, assessments, facilitating Mental Health Act Assessments, signposting to appropriate services, gatekeeping admissions, assessing alternatives to admission and coordinating S136s. Candidates must be car drivers because the service covers the whole of the Kent county.
Previous CAMHS and/or A&E liaison experience is preferred. Must be a confident autonomous worker. Good communication skills RiO user with Smartcard – however training can be provided for the right candidate. IT proficient Full induction offered with supernumerary period to ensure candidate is confident to undertake this dynamic and exciting opportunity.
This client is offering rates from £25 plus mileage.
Position Requirements
- NMC registration
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role in the NHS.
- Enhanced DBS
- CAMHS and/or A&E Liaison experience preferred
- RIO
