Job title: Orthopaedic Occupational Therapist
Location: Oxford
Working hours: full-time
Pay band: 5/6
Start date and duration: ASAP – 4 months
Job Requirements
- To undertake assessment, treatment, education and provide support to people referred to the Occupational Therapy Service (including advice to carers) under the supervision of the Senior OT.
- To work autonomously when required, reporting to senior Occupational Therapist.
- To formulate and implement treatment plans on an individual and group basis, identifying patient needs and goals using sound clinical reasoning.
- To assist and present Patient Education sessions.
- To assist the OT Team Leader or Senior Occupational Therapist in the day-to-day supervision and delegation of routine OT activities to the OT assistants or technicians where appropriate.
- To assess for and provide adaptive equipment in line with departmental guidelines.
- To record all OT intervention in compliance with the Trust, RCOT, HCPC and NHS guidelines.
- To continuously evaluate OT intervention and to maintain and develop a high standard of clinical and professional practice at all times.
- To participate in the Weekend/Bank Holiday working rota as required.
- To participate in clinical supervision and identify own supervision needs.
