Rate: £45–£55 per hour (Dependent on experience)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Locum Echocardiographer to join a well-established team at a leading NHS Trust in Somerset. As a locum Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and contributing to the exceptional patient care provided within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with BSE standards
Independently operate advanced echocardiography equipment (GE, Philips, or Siemens)
Provide accurate, high-quality diagnostic reports for cardiologists and the wider clinical team
Maintain patient safety, dignity, and comfort during all procedures
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient records
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver the best care for patients
Requirements:
BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in echocardiography (adult transthoracic)
BSE Accreditation preferred (but not mandatory for highly experienced candidates)
Valid Right to Work in the UK
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one)
Strong ability to work autonomously in a busy, patient-focused environment
